Magic Find is covered in more detail elsewhere in the guide, but to keep thing simple, the more +% Magic Find you have, the better chances you’ll have of acquiring the unique and set items you want. Just tested oranges and oranges I didn't care about.Acquiring powerful new gear is one of the key goals in Diablo 2 Resurrected, and to facilitate this you’ll find items with the modifier “+% Better Chance of Getting Magic Items”. I think that transmutation may work for blues and greens, but I havent tested it.

Also, once you hit act 2, there's a few transmutation recipes, where you could combine multiplie uniques (oranges) and get a random orange in replacement. Imho, unless you really want certain sets of gear or uniques, I wouldn't bother with magic find much. Bottom line, if you've got magic find stats on any of your gear or your pets, you're probably sacrficing other useful stats. My best suggestion, is you either A) don't care about magic find as you play and level up or B) you do. I don't know, but that wouldnt and won't change the equation much.Īnyway enough theory crafting for me tonight, and I'm not going to try and work out the magic find chance at any stage. Now whether they've changed that for T2, and that pets + players magic find chance stacks. You had a 10% extra magic find chance, not 15. So in T1 if your pet had 10% magic find and you had 5%. Now, I know for a fact in T1, the magic find % items didn't stack between your pet and you, it took whatever was the highest % of magic find.

But obviously higher your level but more likely the higher and more magic find % you have the more likely you'll have green, blue, sets, and uniques dropping more than whites. Now that equation is probably way off, and I'm too tired to analyse and work out possible proper math, and the equation is likely to be a ton more complex than that. Where basically higher your player level, better crap is going to drop like once your'e past 50, you're probably not going to get as many white drops and the like in NG and so on, and magic find % will probably be more likely 0.05 for 5% as a multiplier. I'd try googling it, but the math in very simplistic terms is going to be something like:Ĭhance of a magic item dropping = 100 - (Players level * magic find %) I'm not sure if anyone has worked it out or done the math on it yet.
